Lami or idol cards are officially released laminated cards that are usually the same size as trading cards. Instead of being released
in boxes or packs the way trading cards are, they are usually sold individually or in small sets (such as sets of three).
Cards are usually numbered and dated on the back, which can indicate how many cards are in a released set (for example, if you have card
#4 or card D, obviously there are three other cards. However, you won't know if there are cards E, F, etc. unless you've seen or heard of
them). Sometimes new sets will pick up where an older set left off on numbering. For example, a set of three cards released in 2007 will be
numbered No. 1, 2, and 3 (or A, B, and C). A new set of three cards released in 2008 might then be numbered No. 4, 5, and 6 (or D, E, and F).
And depending on printing (there could be numerous print runs of the same cards), the backs may have different colors than the originals.
So now that we've got the history lesson on lami cards out of the way, let's get to the important thing here: Battle Athletes lami
/ idol cards.
I do not know how many exist. The only ones I've ever seen are the ones currently in my possession, which I picked up many years ago
either from a friend of a friend who sold stuff or from eBay (likely the latter). Currently all of the cards I own are pictured on this site.
I do not know if this card actually exists. I've never seen it nor have I seen it referenced. But based on the fact the other cards came
in sets of three, the third set has only two cards, and they all appear to be at least somewhat related (based on the numbering design), I
strongly feel there's at least a ninth card out there.
Until there's proof, however, consider everything on this page speculation.
